Our company is a fun, non-corporate-y place to work

We're not your typical company. If anything, we’re purposely anti-corporate. It’s led by founder Dustin Overbeck, who already worked in corporate for nine years.

And you know what? He didn’t want to build a company that was going to be a place where you “work to live”, waiting for the weekend to come so you can do something fun.

Instead, he wanted to make it non-corporate. He wanted to build a company where the fun happens at the workplace. That’s why we’re focused on finding people who fit in well with our corporate culture. People who really do like working with their colleagues. We do group interviews. The reason is to allow our existing team to select who they want to have as their next coworker.

Ultimately, we’re working together in a dynamic and fluid environment. You’ll work with other exceptional people -- highly competent and resourceful people. They are all building solutions using the latest technology.

We are different from most other companies, especially those in the Govtech world. As a matter of fact, many of our Govtech competitors are 10x larger than us. Some of them have raised tens of millions of dollars or are private equity backed. What's more, some of them will even say they’ve hit a billion-dollar valuation, which means they’re unicorns.

Well, we’re not a unicorn, and we probably won’t be. We don't run our company based on spreadsheets. Instead, we want to make an impact on the clients we service. Our mission is simple: we want to develop software that "wows" our clients. We want to build tools that are time-saving solutions for our local governments.

What HeyGov does

Our company is called HeyGov. We're a startup based in Wisconsin and we're in the Govtech industry. We have a unique way to solve problems for our clients.

Our clients are local governments in the US. The people who use the software are city staff, department managers and the citizens they serve. We work closely with city clerks, managers and public information officers.

We developed a suite of digital tools to help local governments operate efficiently. We're the 'HubSpot for local government.' It's a full platform that local officials and staff members rely on daily. It saves time, streamlines operations, and provides digital services to citizens.

Our tools cover everything from permit applications to meeting minutes. They help local governments to improve community engagement and simplify tasks.
